Turning to law as a tool for protection and defence is too often thought of as a bureaucratic process associated with obligation, when what is actually true is that law—the meeting between life and reasoning—represents a passionate discipline that should form part of the creation process from the very beginning. Thus, creativity and originality are the main asset and differentiating factor of those devoted to any design discipline, due to which it is essential to understand the mechanisms in place to protect designs, both from third parties and as an indisputable personal value of its creators. This session will speak of protection granted for brands, designs and patents, and of intellectual property rights from a practical perspective.
