Ana Domínguez Siemens

Degree in History of Art from the Complutense University of Madrid. He studied “Decorative Arts of the 19th and 20th Century” at Sotheby’s London. Since 1989 he has been dedicated to journalism as a “freelance”, specializing in the world of Design and related topics (fashion, architecture, interior design and art). He collaborates regularly with various media, from design and interior design magazines to cultural supplements of newspapers, both Spanish and international. In 2009, he was awarded the “San Jordi Award for the Best Design Pen” in Barcelona. He has produced catalog texts for designers such as Rolf Sachs (Philips De Pury, New York), Gaetano Pesce (David Gill Gallery, London), Gunjan Gupta (Kochi Biennial, India), Álvaro Catalán de Ocón, Michael Anastassiades, Fredrikson / Stallard , Anton Alvarez (Machado Gallery / Muñoz, Madrid). He has written the books of decorators Luis Bustamante and Jaime Parladé. He has been a member of the jury of the European design prize “Prix Emile Hermés” (Paris); of the “Design, Decoration and Architecture Awards” of the AD magazine or the “Design Award” of the María Martínez Otero Foundation (Santiago de Compostela). He has been part of the Selection Committee of the “Salone Satellite” (Milan), of the “Product Design Madrid” fair or of the Ibero-American Design Biennial (Madrid). He has curated the design area of ​​the fair “Just Mad”; the industrial design section of the “Múltiplos de 5” project (Pepe Cobo y Cía) and the “Fuera de Serie” exhibition at CentroCentro Cibeles (Madrid). For this same center he has carried out a cycle of design exhibitions under the title “D-Space” (social design, sustainable design, 3D printing, self-production and do-it-yourself). She has been involved in the design Masters of the IED Madrid (Jaime Hayon, Clive van Heerden and MischerTraxler). He organized the “Design in Madrid” day for the University of Berlin. At the design festival, FadFest was co-curator with Rosa Pera in the exhibition “Fuera de Lugar” for the Disseny Hub Barcelona. He is curator of the collections of Madrid and Barcelona of the Danish website ADORNO.design, specialized in contemporary design collecting.
