Zuzunaga ‘pixel’, Camper Pix

Now a 20-year phase is coming to an end, with a project created especially for Camper for the second edition of Madrid Design Festival, his second collaboration with the brand after the recent launch of the Twins shoe by Zuzunaga. This was an exclusive intervention for Camper’s PIX model, which the artist used to represent our relationship as individuals to technology and the urban setting, which is increasingly more digitised, based on tiny squares that are flashes of colour that contrast with the black background.

In 1998 Cristian featured in one of the brand’s campaigns when he was a young model, and two decades later he worked with them to interpret its shoes. His story is unique, and he is going to talk about it in the framework of the Festival’s professional conferences. On its part, the Pix model perfectly represents the present day of this Majorca company, a hybrid and unisex shoe that is an excellent reflection of the era in which we live.

Camper keeps adding a touch of modernity to its classic shoes via design, and also technology. A technical expert will also take part in Zuzunaga’s presentation, who will explain how they are manufactured now. A little known yet essential field for taking the concepts of any artist or design and converting them into reality. The Pix ‘pixelated’ shoe by Cristian Zuzunaga will be a very limited edition and will be available at Camper shops in Madrid during festival dates.
