14 Feb ARISTOCRAZY DESING BOOTCAMP FOR THE SECOND YEAR IN MADRID DESIGN FESTIVAL
Aristocrazy Design Bootcamp: a co-creation initiative to support emerging young creative talent
On this occasion, the committee of experts, including Bilbao International Art & Fashion (BIAAF) selected two participants: from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Antwerp (Amberes), the Shenkar School of Engineering and Design In Israel, the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York and the BIAAF in Bilbao
The chosen group will spend 13, 14, 15, and 16 February on a unique educational experience called Soul of Glass, a workshop designed by Aristocrazy under the guidance of the Mayice design studio
The Soul of Glass program aims to teach participants more about glass, one of the most complex, delicate and magical materials that can be used to create all kinds of pieces. As part of the theoretical and practical training, the course includes a visit to the Royal Factory of Glass and Crystal (Real Fábrica de Cristales) in San Idelfonso, Segovia, where the chosen participants will enjoy a master class from a master glass manufacturer with over 20 years’ experience. The students will work with concepts, ideas and shapes to create a unique, exclusive and conceptual piece that represents the value of true jewels and the essence of this material. Later, each piece will be displayed with back lighting and magnifying lenses and spotlights to highlight the beauty of each piece created.
