In this workshop, we will look back at the pencil, paper and scissors from our childhood and enter the fascinating world of papercuts.

The papercut technique refers to the art of cutting out shapes in paper. It originally came from China but it spread worldwide under different names. Inspiration and creativity will become the stars of the ABC Museum to create uniquely illustrated stories.

Madrid Design Festival (MDF) and Barcelona Design Week (BDW) organize a workshop led by the strategic consultancy Soulsight to address the challenges that both cities will have to face in the s. XXI. Through creative tools derived from design thinking and futures design, students from different universities and design schools in Madrid and Barcelona will work for two days on future environmental, demographic, urban and social challenges. The universities and schools that will participate in the workshop, which will take place on February 19 and 20, are: ELISAVA Barcelona School of Design and Engineering, IED Barcelona, ​​LCI Barcelona, ​​Eina University Center of Disseny and Art of Barcelona , Higher Polytechnic School of Engineering of Vilanova i la Geltrú, IED Madrid, University of Navarra and Francisco de Vitoria University.

The conclusions of this exercise will be shared in a meeting at the Auditorium of Espacio Fundación Telefónica on February 20, and will be reflected in an installation, made by TheOthers, during the BDW in June 2020.
